May. 10th, 2015 12:55 amSo it seems that there is an honest-to-cheeses otome game for the iPhone, in English, where you can romance a number of J-rock vocalists - among them Yo-ka and Subaru. Apparently, the thing's been out for a year. I just happened to stumble across a reference to it on the main Royz blog on Tumblr. I'm actually amazed I didn't come across any references to it on any Diaura communities/blogs.
I am so half-tempted to download this thing, despite the fact that I usually don't play otome games (well, I'd probably play Hakuouki or the Boueibu game if they were available in English for iPhone). I'd be more than half-tempted if there were an option where you could have the boys romance each other instead of your Mary Sue, but hey. The artwork is pretty amusing - everyone looks like a spare Boueibu character. (When I'm writing, I will sometimes visualize the scene I'm working on as a manga panel. Mangafied Camera Eye!Yo-ka most definitely does not look like his otome game counterpart).
I'm just amazed that the game got translated and got an official English-language release. I don't think any of the bands represented here have ever had their work officially released in North America.
