Could someone please enlighten me as to what caused the Gaze fandom to explode this time? I went on Tumblr last night and saw a ton of confessions and secrets accusing fans of saying other fans weren’t “real Sixth Guns,” saying that the fandom is a HUGE SOURCE OF STRESS and making reference to a “yaoi clique” within the fandom. This wouldn’t have anything to do with that gag post someone made this week about “Why Ruki Is Gay,” would it? That post was VERY clearly a joke and a parody of the typical fangirl mindset – I think the OP even labeled it a joke.

This kind of makes me very happy that I stick to the Kai-centric/UruKai corner of the fandom, which is mellow, happy and has nice people. We miss out on all the wank.

Speaking of which, I’m looking forward to a very productive summer of writing. I’m currently editing my fic for a certain somebody’s birthday on Friday (though it will most likely be posted tomorrow – hey, after noon, it’s his birthday in Japan, right?). I thought it was long, but until I saw the word count last night, I didn’t realize HOW long. It broke 11,000 words easily. Eeep. Y hallo thar, LJ post limits. Looks like I’ll be splitting it in two to post it. (I’ve been dropping hints as to the fic’s subject matter on my Tumblr, BTW).

Also, kai_pleasure just issued its Summer Ghost Fic Challenge, and ldybastet has started The Penisy Kinks Bingo – a fun, low-pressure writing challenge created in response to the dissatisfaction several of us had with this year’s official Kink Bingo kinks list. If you’re into writing Teh Pronz and are curious about doing the kinky stuff, I strongly recommend giving it a try. You’ll have plot bunnies hopping around in no time!

I think it might have something to do with what Aoi said on twitter about only core fans buying their music or something... I can't remember exactly what he said... Check out his twitter to find out...

ah I only read some of Aoi's Tweets last week. Don't know if they got translated but he did some shitty talk on how fans can be divided into ones that buy their stuff and others that don't and all that stuff.  Got me a little confused but my japanese got somehow rusty so I am not sure what that all was about.  Just thought oh oh people are gonna rant when I read it lol

The fandom doesn't really need a reason to explode into wank. It's just a bunch of "better-than-thou" people taking their frustrations out, most of the time lol.
