(no subject)

Went to see the doctor yesterday. He thinks I have no long-term effects from the concussion (good), cleared me to go back to work next week (better) and said I may not even have to stay on blood pressure meds long-term (best). He noted that I've had no serious BP issues in the past (save for a couple of spikes when I was ill or in pain from an injured back). He thinks I may have passed out behind the wheel due to a blood pressure spike from stress, and that if I reduce stress in my daily life I should be okay. (One good thing about this - it's forced certain coworkers and family members to see that they don't need to rely on me for every-freaking-thing and there's some things they can do themselves). He told me to buy a home blood pressure cuff and monitor my pressure at home, and if it keeps going down try weaning myself off the meds.

So Byou Doll and I have continued to take it easy on the bed most of the time (finished binge-watching all the Steven Universe eps that are available to date). I've been gradually introducing more activity back into my life, though. Yesterday, I went back to work on the fanfic I started before the accident, and this morning I actually did some light cleaning - vacuuming and the like. Still have nasty black-and-blue marks and soreness in my right wrist where they had to take a blood gas test in the emergency room - thank God I'm left-handed.

Interesting thing about the fanfic (which is for another Season of Kink square and is Camera Eye-verse). I seem to have this thing for every fandom/band where I ship against the tide (well, except for Alice Nine, where I ship the standard Shou/Hiroto and Tora/Saga). The entire Royz fandom is convinced Subaru and Kuina are an actual not-just-doing-fanservice couple - so of course, I'm shipping Subaru with Tomoya. It just came out of nowhere and feels right. (Might have something to do with my recent tendency for vocalist/drummer shipping, too - see also Byou and Jin).
