Jun. 15th, 2015 10:02 pmI was really, really impressed with GazettE's trailer for Project: Dark Age. First of all, the concept. Using the project to acknowledge the contributions of their behind-the-scenes staff is classy as hell. Face it, fans are inclined to think it's all about the five pretty boys (and Kalou), but this shines the spotlight on the people whose hard work makes them look and sound so good. It just seems like such a non-egotistical thing to do, and they deserve a huge thumbs up fo rit.
Second - the trailer was in English! IN ENGLISH! (Real English, not Ruklish!) Okay, that could be interpreted as your usual Japanese ENGLISH IZ KEWL, but to me, it seemed like a real acknowledgement of the international fandom. Gaze has always reached out beyond Japan anyway, with the international releases of their CDs, the world tour and the international membership of Heresy (far as I know they're still one of the few bands to do this, though I heard somewhere that Royz' fan club is international, too).
Meanwhile, it's one down, four to go with my Season of Kink bingo card. Next thing I need to start on is the fic for the Summer Love Challenge at
jrockyaoi - I've got it pretty much plotted out, just need to write it. (I'm trying for something that isn't quite your typical summer love fic.)
