Mar. 29th, 2013 01:07 pmSo I have today off from work, and I woke up with a huge craving for Mexican food. As in, if I didn't get something with cilantro in it by the end of the day, I'd die. Granted, food cravings are nothing unusual for me when I'm a few days before my period - which is what's happening right now.
I spent the morning working on a fanfic about Shou's latest Twitter faux pas - if you haven't heard about it, he meant to upload a full-size version of his new Twitter icon, uploaded a Harry/Draco photomanip instead, and caused the fandom to explode. I peeked in on Tumblr a little, and then decided to check LJ . . .
GazettE World Tour. With the closest show to me being in, you guessed it, Mexico. That is a WEIRD coincidence.
Of course, nothing in the U.S. or Canada. Doesn't surprise me one whit. The only Japanese acts that have played in those countries, other than at cons, are L'arc-en-Ciel and Dir en Grey. Apparently, PSC is asking for too much money for what U.S. promoters consider an unknown band. (Never mind that GazettE would attract a much bigger crowd than some of the Polish and Russian acts that do play in New York, and don't have followings outside the immigrant community).
So, the Mexican thing is doable for me, if I axe my plans for a couple of cons this summer. (Still doing Anime North, since it's the only time I get to see both of my best friends at the same time). Hell, I feel like after everything I've endured since November, I've earned it.
Now, if only on the next go-around, they'd include New York . . . and if only they'd let Alice Nine that far out of the cage, too . . .
