I CALLED MY BINGO, YAY! I finished my last bingo line fic for Season of Kink this past weekend. The last fic was a tough one, because Orgies is never an easy prompt. I dealt with it by having the main character of the fic acting as a voyeur of the action and fantasizing about it, rather than being part of it. (I've always felt that orgies are something that is much better suited to visual porn than written). And yes, it seems that Subaru starred in every Bingo fic except one - but that's because the boy is Minion-level adorable and I can't seem to stop writing him.

In other news, my copy of Dogma is on its way, YAY! The package tracking watch is on (not to mention the usual Tumblr pre-release-leaked-copies drama - although I saw more people yelling about leaks than actual leaks). I also got the download of Alice Nine's Ginga no Oto since I was a supporter of their crowdfunding project - and I hope they get some sort of real distribution deal for it (right now, it's just being sold at lives and distributed to crowdfunding supporters), becuase it's most definitely the strongest music they've released since Gemini. Leaving PSC has done them good, at least artistically.

And on a sadder note, my car was declared totalled by my insurance company. I got a check for it, and at the moment I'm driving my father's old car while I decide whether I'm going to buy a new one or, well, just adopt my father's old car. (Right now it's sort of a shared custody vehicle, used by whichever family member needs it at the moment.)

I've resumed normal life otherwise - back to work, etc. I'm on blood pressure meds, since the accident pretty much shone a big, fat spotlight on the fact that I've inherited a family curse (both parents have/had it, so it was just a matter of time before my luck ran out). First time I've ever had to take medicine regularly for a chronic condition - which is pretty good, I guess.

Congrats on your bingo! XD I wish I could say the same, but at least there's still a month...

The bitching about leaks drives me nuts, it really does. I'm not a fan of either side of the argument - yes, we shouldn't be leaking the album before the release date, and if you have the funds to buy a copy you should, but (and this is a big but), I first found out about the band through a download, and then watching ripped vids on youtube, and I'm sure a lot of other people found out about them the same way. Isn't it hypocritical to then rail at other fans about how they shouldn't be doing the same? There will always be people that refuse to pay, but won't a good number of new fans then go on to support the band? It's the same damn drama every time we get a new album, and I'm sick of it. *sigh* On the plus side, Dogma rocks. I can't wait for my copy to show up!

Thanks! And don't worry, you'll make it!

Oh, the leaking drama is really wearying. And, quite frankly, I think all of us who are into visual kei got into it through PVs and downloads people uploaded. This kind of stuff is hard to find through the normal channels - I wouldn't have known about it at all if a friend hadn't sent me a bunch of links to Alice Nine PVs. My philosophy about this kind of thing is "try before you buy" - sample a band's work through downloads, and if you like what you see/hear, then support them and buy the physical copies. Plus, there's one more reason I've been appreciating uploads lately - the Super Drive of my Mac Mini, where I have my iTunes, has decided it doesn't want to work anymore. Downloading a digital upload of an album or single I've purchased through legitimate channels saves me having to put the CD in my PC laptop, rip the music with Windows Media, put the files on a flash drive and load them from the flash drive into the Mac. That's what I was doing for awhile - until I decided I shouldn't feel guilty about taking something I'd paid for!

Orgies are really hard to write. They're even hard to read (at least for me), because it's so easy to lose track of what is where and who is with whom. But I think allowing Baru to imagine himself involved worked perfectly, since I I was losing track right along with him as his own fantasy fused with reality. He really is too adorable for words.

Car troubles suck. I hope you get it figured out soon. Being dependent on others for transportation, even when it's just a 'can I borrow the car', is a giant pain.

Yeah, precisely - they become more like a bowl of spaghetti than something that's truly hot. I read one that actually worked where the writer had six guys involved, and she started out with them broken into three couples, shifting the focus between the three - and then ended with five of them taking turns gangbanging the sixth. That didn't precisely fit the description of the kink given in the challenge guidelines, though - so I took a different route with this.

The car thing isn't a huge inconvenience at the moment - just an annoyance. But yeah, I'll be happy when I have a car I can call my own again, whether it's a new one or just having my father's old one transferred to me.
