Fic: Root and Branch [Byou x Ruki, PG-13]
Jul. 30th, 2019 08:49 pmTitle: Root and Branch
Chapter: Sequel to An Evil Spell My Life
Author: Boots
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Drama, supernatural, urban fantasy, romance
Warning: Ruki is his own warning. Copious f-bombs, Satanism.
Pairing: Byou (SCREW) x Ruki (The GazettE)
Disclaimer: SCREW and GazettE were once both property of PS Company, while GazettE are now free agents and SCREW are disbanded. I own the story only. This is a work of dark urban fantasy and is entirely fiction inspired by the TV series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and property of Netflix and Archie Comics. The group portrayed in this story is not meant to represent any real-world magical/spiritual organization of the past or present, and is not intended to represent the actual beliefs and practices of any group or religion – the vast majority of people who identify as witches in the real world are NOT Satanists.
Summary: Ruki is close to his life’s goal of becoming a full Satanic priest and running his own coven – although his mentor throws one last, near-unsurmountable challenge in his way. Fortunately, he has help from an old acquaintance – much to his annoyance. But does Byou drive Ruki crazy for the reasons Ruki thinks he does?
Comments: My July fill for the vkyaoi challenge, using the Bonus Moodboard, Gardening, and the following quote: “A common flower can be found anywhere, but when it doesn’t open, it’s left alone in this world to embrace loneliness.”
( People always seemed to think what Ruki did was easy. )
