2017 Writing in Review

(Redone version because Dreamwidth ate half my post last night)

I used to do a formal year-end writers' meme at the end of each year, but this most definitely was not a typical year. On the contrary - it was the opposite of normal. Within 12 months, I had a ruptured appendix, a cancer scare and a lost job - plus I ended the year with a rather nasty skin condition to boot. I had two surgeries and numerous medical tests, and I spent a month with a tube implanted in my lower abdomen.

As you can imagine, I didn't have as much time to devote to writing as I would have liked.
