This is the second time I've heard of a concert canceled because of a flu outbreak among a band - it happened with Alice Nine a couple of years back. (It was something like four or five concerts - everyone but Saga had it, and they had it BAD. And yet, they still went out and did Alice Nine Channel . . .)
Going to pick up my copy of Supernova from my mailbox during my lunch break today. Totally stoked for it because I'm hearing almost all positive things from the fandom, who are very quick to jump on the band with sabers drawn if they hear anything they don't like. (See Stargazer, Shooting Star and the "9" album). SCREW's new single will be close on its heels. (Just when I think "this year I'll be spending less money on pretty boys . . .")
Our wretched winter is finally over. (Well, officially - they're talking about snow AGAIN next week). At least we're getting close to my being able to burn my shovel and my annual birthday trip - which is going to be a bit different this year. Instead of going to Anime North, I'm visiting my best friend in California and going to FANIME, the con in the Bay Area, instead. We decided we were going to do something different this year - we'd been going to the same con every year since 2000. (Yikes, I have been in Japanese fandoms a LONG time). So I'm looking forward to something new!
