(no subject)

We got snow overnight. Not a tragic amount - about six inches - but it's still the most snow we've had in two years around these parts. Meaning I had to dig my car out this morning, since it got plowed into a snowbank like it usually does. Yay. Not. By the time I settled down with my laptop to watch My Little Pony, my arms and legs were pretty damn sore - y, hello thar, rarely used muscle groups!

But, the good news is that I'm working on my Valentine's Day fic for the uruai fanfiction challenge. The actual draft is done, I just need to do the editing and beating it into shape. With my father home from the hospital, I actually have the luxury of doing a longer piece again - indeed, this is the lengthiest fic I've done since, well, the Kai's Birthday challenge at kai_pleasure. It's sort of a slice-of-life look at an unusual version of the Kai/Uruha relationship, and that's all I'm going to say about it for now - well, that and the fact that it was inspired by another recent fic and a Kink Meme prompt.

Also, the postman brought me SCREW's Teardrop, BORN's Devilish of the Punk and the Decade book, which is, of course, gorgeous. (Strange the thoughts one has while looking through something like that - such as, "How the hell does Ruki see out of some of those sparkly, bejeweled, tie-dyed color contact lenses he has?") I'm also loving the pairings they did for the "Exclusive Pair Interviews," since I ship or have written about a lot of them. XD (Ruki/Aoi, Kai/Ruki, and, of course, Kai/Uruha).
