My father is home from the hospital – he was discharged this weekend. He’s still got a very long road to go – he needs help with walking, he can’t be left alone (at least until his walking gets strong enough to walk unsupervised) and he still has trouble sometimes with speech and figuring out where objects are. He’s going to have therapists working with him in the home for awhile. Needless to say, my brother and I are going to be helping a lot, so I’ll still be busy – but at least my mother and I do not have to go running off to a hospital every single night anymore.
So thank you, everyone, for your well-wishes. I really am going to try to get to all the fic comments I didn’t answer (I know there’s a lot of them)! I’m also going to find a way to still fit writing into my schedule, because I swear that fandom is what made me survive everything since late October.
