The list of pink-haired guys was actually one of the jumping-off points of writing the fic! There really are a TON of them in VK - I'm sure that most of them chose the color as a tribute to hide. Actually, Aoi was a pinkhead for a short time, too, but Camera Eye!Aoi doesn't have pink hair (I envision him more as the Dim Scene/Before I Decay era).
And, yeah, Ruiza did push things a little far - had Hiyori and Sakito not met up, Ruiza's over-enthusiasm probably would have squashed the whole deal. (On one hand, you can't blame him for being so rah-rah, since Codomo Dragon did revive his own stagnating career - but on the other, he's kinda become that friend who lost 25 pounds on a certain fad diet and his now convinced he will get EVERYONE EVER to go on that diet, too.)
