Can't blame anyone for fearing the dentist. It's interesting to know that it's a form of PTSD (sometimes).
I had a dentist who decided they needed to remove a tooth. (I'm about 90% sure a private dentist would have just used a filling). Anyway they did the injection and I could still feel pain, so they used some more, I could still feel it and they didn't believe it. They told me it was just pressure, but it hurt, numbed but obvious pain. The tooth put up a fight. (Another reason why I'm so sure it didn't need pulling).
Well after that I didn't go to the dentist for about 3 years and finally did go because I happened to take my Grandma to her private one which is very different. (Nice reception who chats to you in a room that's part reception, part just a normal living room with a TV, Nice dentist, nice dental nurse, the knowledge that private dentists would rather use fillings that need replacing than pulling teeth to save money like the NHS).
I'm more or less over my fear now, and it was never so intense, but I honestly have to look away at dental procedures on TV. I can't watch surgery and all sorts though.
Anyway, enough about me. Great fic as always. Jun is so sweet and supportive, Hitomi shouldn't be embarrassed. There's worse fears. (I have a phobia of chicken, the meat, and know a girl who's scared of balloons.)
