I don't think I've ever seen a more accurate description of Hayato than "the type of grown man who would run around after Pokemon"! In fact, I have no trouble imagining him or Subaru having a blast with Pokemon Go.
Yuuki's series is going to be a smash hit, I'm sure. It will be good for him to be able to branch out in kinks and in partners, and I'm sure the newer writers will be thrilled to try something new like that.
Subaru and Yo-ka's interaction was very sweet, and it's good that Hayato got to see first-hand how nonchalant Yuuki was about the whole situation. He's got a lot to learn about the industry, after all, and who better to learn from than the couple who are the most open!
