Ha, the wait for the confession is why this story is called Long Time Coming! Everyone was waiting for it - especially Koichi (but Uruha was definitely waiting for it, too - with a mixture of happy anticipation and dread).
MiA does have an unusually strong connection to Uruha, especially for a "spoke" relationship. (And that cuts both ways - it was unusually strong for Uruha, too). Basically, it's because you have a mentor relationship layered on top of a romantic and sexual connection - it's multi-leveled. No wonder Koichi saw it as a threat. Fortunately that's resolved!
Koichi became like a little kid as soon as the pirate video was announced! And his enthusiasm will carry over to the actual filming - that storyline will probably start right after the JAVAS. (Other people involved will be enthusiastic as well!)
