This story definitely represents the darker side of the adult industry, as opposed to the more idealized version seen in Camera Eye. It's basically going through the physical motions for a paycheck - which probably would have ended up with him becoming hardened and jaded. Junji definitely helped him reconnect with his own emotions - which turned out to be a good thing for both of them (since connecting with Gaku also helped Junji figure out his truest career path).
